Manage nol Card
Apply for a Personal nol card (blue card) or register your Silver or Gold card to access all nol services. You can replace or renew your card, top up the balance, add or renew a Travel Pass, or purchase a Red Ticket or an Anonymous nol card. The Personal nol card offers the same features as the Silver and Gold cards, with category-based concessions for Adults, Senior Emiratis and Residents, People of Determination, and Students.

Steps
To renew the Personal nol card
- Log in using your UAE Pass or RTA Account. If you use your UAE Pass, authorise RTA website to access your full information (full name, phone number, email address, and date of birth).
- Click Manage nol Card in the dashboard.
- Go to Apply for Renewing/Replacing Personal nol Card page.
- Review the personal details from your UAE Pass (primary mobile number, email address, first and last name, date of birth).
- Select Apply for Self or on Behalf .
- Select Category and Travel Class , and the card design, then click Next .
- If you're a student, you can apply for an International Student Identity Card (ISIC) and select the educational institution from the drop-down menu.
- Supporting documents (such as a letter from the educational institution or a Sanad card) are automatically retrieved from KHDA and CDA. Otherwise, upload the documents manually.
- Enter the delivery details (emirate, area, street, home/apartment number).
- Review and confirm the application.
- If the application is approved, pay the fees.
- If the documents are uploaded manually, the application is reviewed within 2 working days and you receive an SMS and email with a link to pay on RTA website once verified.
- Receive the application reference number through SMS and email.
- Receive an SMS and a WhatsApp message with the delivery details within 2 working days after completing payment for automatically approved applications, and within 4 working days after completing payment for applications requiring verification. You must respond promptly to the delivery representative message to confirm delivery time and location.
To renew the Personal nol card on behalf of someone else
- The guardian logs in using his UAE Pass or RTA Account.
- The guardian authorises RTA website to access his full information through the UAE Pass.
- The guardian clicks goes to Apply for Renewing/Replacing Personal nol Card page.
- The guardian selects On Behalf to apply for a dependent or family member.
- The guardian selects the nol tag ID of the dependent or enters the number manually.
- The guardian selects the card category, uploads the valid required documents, and provides proof of kinship or guardianship.
- The guardian selects the reason for the card renewal or replacement and enters the PIN code if applicable.
- The guardian reviews the dependent’s personal details, uploads a recent personal photo, and provides or confirms the delivery address.
- The guardian reviews all details along with the total amount payable, agrees to the Terms and Conditions, and clicks Confirm and Pay .
- The guardian receives an SMS and email confirming successful submission, including a reference number and a link to track the application status.
- Once the card is verified and approved, both the guardian and the dependent receive SMS and email notifications with a tracking number for delivery.

Students Card (ISIC)
- Log in to your account using your UAE Pass.
- Select Renew a Personal nol Card .
- Authorise nol Pay to access your full information (name, phone number, email address, and date of birth) through your UAE Pass.
- Place the nol card on the NFC area of the mobile phone or select a card linked to your RTA account.
- Review your personal information.
- The travel class and category of the personal card remain the same.
- Click nol ISIC Card .
- Select the educational institution.
- Submit the application.
- Receive the application reference number through SMS and email.
- Receive updates through SMS on your application and card status throughout the process.
- If the documents are retrieved from KHDA, the application is automatically approved for the following categories: Adults, Students, People of Determination, Senior Emiratis and Residents.
- Pay the fees.
- If you select the physical card, you receive it within 4 working days of successful payment. If you select the digital card, you can download it within 4 working days of the successful payment.

- Log in to your account using your UAE Pass.
- Select Renew a Personal nol Card .
- Authorise nol Pay to access your full information (name, phone number, email address, and date of birth) through your UAE Pass.

To renew the Personal nol Card on behalf of someone else

- Place the nol card on the NFC area of the mobile phone or select a card linked to your RTA account (when applying on behalf of another person, the personal card will be automatically linked to the name of the applicant).
- The travel class and category of the personal card remain the same.
- Update your delivery address and choose a new card design if you wish.

- Receive updates through SMS on your application and card status throughout the process.
- If the documents are retrieved from KHDA, the application is automatically approved for the following categories: Adults, Students, People of Determination, Senior Emiratis and Residents.

Important to Know
You Should Know
- This service is only available for personal nol cards, including Regular (non-concession), Students, Senior Emiratis and Residents, and People of Determination.
- The documents submitted must be in pdf format and mustn’t exceed 2MB.
- All submitted documents must be in Arabic or English. Otherwise, you must submit a legalised translation for the application to be processed.
- In some cases, you must upload supporting documents to verify the concession eligibility.
- The concession for the Students, Senior Emiratis and Residents, and resident People of Determination must be renewed annually, provided that you remain eligible and wish to continue benefiting from the concession.
- Regular Personal nol cards must be renewed every 5 years.
- You'll receive expiry notifications via SMS and email 30 days and 15 days before the card or concession expires.
- Upon renewal, you can modify your delivery details and select a different nol card design if eligible.
- The renewed or replacement card retains all features of the original Personal nol card, including any remaining balance and the concession validity period (if applicable).
- Card delivery is free of charge.
- For automatically approved applications, nol cards are delivered within 2 working days.
- For other applications with documents uploaded manually, nol cards will be delivered within 4 working days from the date of successful payment, or from the approval date for People of Determination (POD) cards.
- You can track the status of your Personal nol card application and delivery through the Track Delivery service .
- You can track your card using Mahboub chatbot, through the following steps:
- Type "Track shipment" in the chat box.
- Provide the track shipment number (AWB).
- View the tracking details (AWB, shipment type (nol card etc.), status, tracking history).
- You must report to RTA within 3 days from the nol card delivery date in case of a technical or physical defect in the delivered card.
- Upon delivery, the courier will request your signature and a valid Emirates ID as the primary verification document. If an Emirates ID is unavailable, a UAE Driving Licence or passport can be provided.
- Emirates Post (EMX) contacts you on the mobile number registered during the nol card application to arrange delivery. If you can’t be reached after 3 call attempts, the nol card will be returned and marked as “Return” in the system.
- Blocked cards can't be reactivated.

Terms and Conditions
- The nol card is intended for use only by its owner. Any misuse, such as allowing another person to use the card or using an expired or invalid card, is subject to penalties in accordance with RTA regulations.
- If the personal nol card becomes faulty during a trip, you may complete the journey without incurring any additional fees.
- Returned or uncollected cards will be blocked without refund if not claimed within 30 days.
- Unaccompanied minor policy:
- Below 8 years old: Not recommended to use public transport (metro, tram, buses, and marine transportation) unless accompanied by adults.
- Between 8 and 11 years old: The permit must be issued by one of the parents to allow the child to travel alone (with the exception of intercity buses).
- 12 years old and above: Allowed to use public transport without being accompanied by an adult.
- Children under the age of 5 don't need a nol card and can use Dubai Metro, Tram, and Bus for free.

- Q: Should I pay the renewal/replacement fees every time I apply for a renewal or replacement in case the personal nol card is lost, expired, or damaged?
- A: Yes.
- Q: What's the procedure if I don't receive the card after completing the payment?
- A: The card should be delivered within 4 working days after payment. You must track the delivery via the link sent by the delivery company or by using this link . You must also ensure that your registered mobile number is active.
