3 Integrated Truck Rest Areas
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has awarded a contract for the development of three integrated truck rest areas in partnership with the private sector. The facilities span a total area of over 210,000 square metres, with a combined capacity for 490 trucks and heavy vehicles. The three integrated facilities are set to deliver a range of services designed to enhance driver safety and well-being. Strategically located along key corridors and within major logistics hubs that attract high volumes of truck traffic daily, the sites will adhere to international standards in the design of entry and exit points to ensure the highest levels of safety.
Phase One – Development of Historic Al Ras
In line with the directives of the wise leadership to position Dubai as a pedestrian-friendly city year-round and deliver a step-change in the quality of walkways and pedestrian facilities across the emirate, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has awarded the contract for Phase I of Dubai Walk Master Plan in Al Ras.
Phase Two of the Development of Hessa Street
In implementation of the directives of the wise leadership to further advance Dubai’s road infrastructure network to keep pace with the sustained urban development and population growth of Dubai, the RTA has awarded a contract for Phase II of Hessa Street Development.
Dubai Loop Project
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, reviewed the Dubai Loop and Glydways projects, two future mobility initiatives led by the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai (RTA).
