You Should Know

1. In case of lost commercial plates, you must apply for a lost commercial plate, cancel the old plates, and issue new commercial plates by virtue of a police report.
2. In case of damaged commercial plates, you must hand over the damaged plates to the service centre to issue new plates.
3. The service is available on RTA website for individual establishments only.
4. One person must be authorised to sign on behalf of the company.
5. The commercial plate numbers must be used only by the company that owns them.
6. The traders who work for the company must use vehicles that have these plate numbers.
7. The plate number belongs to the company and not the vehicle.
8. The plate must be insured by a private insurance company.
9. You must add a Salik tag on the commercial plate.

To renew the plates:

1. You must hand over the vehicle plates.
2. The new plate is replaced yearly with the same number.
3. You can hand over the old plates and receive the new ones in one of the following centres:

   •  Al Mumayaz Vehicle Testing - Al Barsha Mall 
   •  Wasel Vehicle Testing - Al Jaddaf

   •  Al Mutakamela Center - Al Quoz 
   •  Tamam Vehicle Testing 
   •  AG Cars Vehicle Testing - Al Mamzar 
   •  Tajdeed Vehicle Testing

Companies, dealerships, and showrooms operating in the field of vehicle trading in Dubai

1. Emirates ID
2. Letter from the company to apply for renewing commercial plates with the stamp and signature
3. Copy of the valid Trade Licence
4. Commercial plate insurance
5. Endorsement of signature and Authorisation Letter

• The Licensing Agency specifies the number of plates after studying the request.
• You can apply for new plates if you lose one or both plates after cancelling the number.
• Re-registration   terms apply in case of an expired vehicle ownership.
