Impact of RTA Projects & Initiatives (Before / After)

This section helps demonstrate how RTA’s projects and initiatives affect the local community by showcasing visual comparisons of the area before and after implementation. As such, this enhances transparency, fosters trust, and strengthens engagement between RTA and the community.

The project included the construction of approximately 24 km of internal roads in four (4) residential areas: Margham, Lehbab, Al-Lisaili and Hatta in addition to the construction of approximately 16 km of street lighting networks on the existing roads.

The project included the implementation of five bridges with a length of 3,300 metres, and the development and expansion of road lanes with the length of 6,820 metres that are distributed over seven different locations on Al Khail Road. The Seven locations include: Al Jadaf, Business Bay, Zabeel, Meydan, and Al Quoz (1), Ghadeer Al-Tair, and Jumeirah Village Circle.

The project aimed to develop the infrastructure and internal roads network in Al Qusais Industrial Area 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 in order to serve the area.

The project included the expansion of Algeria Street from its intersection with Street (11) near Al Khawaneej Road to its intersection with Tunis Street, and Streets (27) and (31).

Development of Al Jamayel Street (formerly Garn Al Sabkha Street)

The project included the construction of four bridges spanning 2,874 metres, with a capacity of 17,600 vehicles per hour. It also involved the development of roads extending over seven kilometres, improvements to surface intersections along the service road parallel to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, as well as the installation of street lighting, traffic signals, traffic management systems, a rainwater drainage network, and an irrigation system.
