Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has held a virtual workshop entitled: The Principles of Dealing with People of Determination, in coordination with the Community Development Authority (CDA).

RTA has held an array of initiatives marking the imminent advent of Eid Al-Fitr. Events were held in cooperation with the key partner First Abu Dhabi Bank in addition to Keolis-MHI (Dubai Metro and Tram operator), Red Crescent Authority, and a contribution from Dar Al Hay Tailoring.

His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of RTA praised the volunteering work of employees and their active participation in delivering an array of humanitarian and community-oriented initiatives during the holy month of Ramadan.

RTA is organising several community initiatives during the holy month of Ramadan to promote the values of giving and social responsibility.

RTA is celebrating the ‘Reading Month’ this year with a variety of programmes and initiatives befitting this national event aimed at encouraging various community members to read and develop the reading habit.

The Women Committee, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has held several events in celebration of the International Women’s Day, which corresponds to March 8th, Celebrating the event reflects the appreciation of the leading role and achievements of women in humanitarian, economic, political and social fields.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), has launched its Employees Digital Library in collaboration with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation. It is the first digital library of its kind with cognitive content in the field of transport infrastructure worldwide.

The number of beneficiaries from the corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives of Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in 2021 has topped 5,089,611 individuals.

Under the 4th edition of Kiswat Khair humanitarian initiative, RTA has collected and retrofitted 36 thousand pieces of used clothes. The initiative is run in coordination with RTA’s strategic partners namely the Dubai Police, Dubai Health Authority, Dubai Municipality, General Directorate of Dubai Civil Defence, DP World, Serco, ENOC and Al Magrudy’s.

RTA) has held a virtual workshop about the etiquette of dealing with people of determination attended by His Excellency Majid Nasir Al Osaimi, Executive Director of the Dubai Club For People Of Determination, and Mansour Al Falasi, Chairperson of RTA Foundation cum CEO of Dubai Taxi Corporation.

RTA has launched a multi-event traffic outreach campaign in collaboration with a host of strategic partners. The campaign, which is focused on pedestrian safety and targets motorists, workers and students, is launched under the theme; ‘Because Your Life is Precious, Cross Safely.’

As part of its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of daily riders, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is undertaking a periodic rolling stock overhaul programme. The programme is run in collaboration with Keolis-MHI, the operator of the Dubai Metro and Tram at the highest standards of the industry. The overhaul procedures are conducted as per the recommendations of the Original Equipment Manufacturer of the metro.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has recently held the Security and Traffic Safety exhibition at its Head Quarters. The three day event, included 7 educative workshops for RTA employees.  

RTA has celebrated the 7th Open Day for Health, Safety and Environment under the theme: Let’s Cooperate for Conserving the Environment. The event, which was held via video conference, attracted experts from RTA and other entities including senior officials and professors

His Excellency Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and General Security in Dubai, His Excellency Mattar Mohammed Al Tayer, – Director General, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of RTA, and His Excellency Major General Awad Hader Al Muhairi, Deputy Director General of the State Security Department in Dubai attended the signing MoU to protect and ensure the safety of the transport sector and its users.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority has been crowned as the one and only overall 'Team of the Year' winner in the British Safety Council International Safety Awards 2021.

RTA reiterated its full implementation of occupational health and safety standards at all affiliated buildings, facilities and projects as well as public transit means.

A French-Japanese consortium has won a contract for the operation and maintenance of the Dubai Metro as well as the operation of the Dubai Tram

Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in collaboration with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and other Authorities, has administered the Covid-19 vaccination to the entire fleet of eligible taxi and public transport drivers

The campaign is part of RTA’s strategy to verify the compliance with the applicable regulations governing marine transport in Dubai.

RTA reiterated RTA’s commitment to boosting customers’ satisfaction and happiness with RTA services and its vital roles at all levels. A statement to this effect was made during the 128th Customers Council gathering held recently with employees and supervisors of RTA’s customers' happiness centres.

RTA has recently revealed that 99.97% of taxi trips in Dubai were complaint-free as the rate of taxi complaints was just 0.03% out of total 88.9 million trips carried out in 2021. It is recalled that the percentage of complaints was 0.04% in 2020, and 0.05% in 2019.

RTA has unleashed a Loyalty Programme that links the performance of bus and taxi drivers with rewards offering special discounts from retail outlets and companies.

RTA has recently completed the training of about 190 employees on data sciences and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, which have become the backbone of all RTA’s daily operations and services provided to various spectrums of the community.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority improved 10 bus routes across the emirate, following a study and big data analysis based on crowdsourcing features on (RTA Dubai( smart app, which enabled the public to submit their feedback, suggestions and comments.

RTA launched the 4th edition of Tamkeen (Empowerment) Programme, which extends over 9 months (July 2021 – March 2022), in collaboration with Rawafed Learning Centre and the Ministry of Community Development.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has won two main international and regional awards in three sub-categories of Human Resources and Development in 2021. RTA won Gold Stevie International Award for Qiyadi Programme and the Bronze Award for Future Leaders Programme.

The workshops were part of a brainstorming programme to screen the current and future needs of customers to uplift the level of services and configure them to meet customer needs and expectations.

RTA’s Customers Council hosted a Traditional Abras Owners and Operators gathering at Umm Suqeim Majlis, in the presence of Mohammed Obaid Al Mulla, Member of the Board of Executive Directors and Chair of RTA’s Customers Council, Mohammed Abu Bakr Al Hashmi, Director of Marine Transport at RTA’s Public Transport Agency.
