Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) marked the UAE Flag Day, observed annually on 3rd November, with a ceremony at its headquarters. The occasion stands as a proud national symbol of loyalty to the homeland, honouring its achievements and reaffirming the collective commitment to keeping the nation’s flag raised high in glory and pride.

His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, Director General, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) hoisted the UAE flag at RTA’s headquarters in the presence of CEOs, directors, and employees. The participants expressed their pride in joining the Flag Day celebration, which embodies the values of belonging, gratitude, and peace.

“This occasion serves as a renewed source of inspiration to continue advancing the nation’s comprehensive development under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and his brother His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai. The UAE’s remarkable achievements stand as a testament to the nation’s sincerity, dedication, and collective will. We call upon everyone to work earnestly to safeguard these accomplishments and to contribute to the UAE’s ongoing journey of progress, prosperity, and excellence.”

This year’s celebrations included adorning key streets and landmarks across Dubai with 750 national flags, including Sheikh Zayed Road near the World Trade Centre, Dubai Water Canal, Business Bay Crossing, Tripoli Street, Al Maktoum Bridge, and Infinity Bridge. The initiative also featured illuminating the Tolerance Bridge and the waterfalls of Dubai Water Canal in the colours of the national flag, along with showcasing dedicated Flag Day designs on smart traffic system screens and internal displays across RTA’s premises.
