Reviewing strategy of National Program for Happiness and Positivity

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has received a delegation from the National Programme for Happiness and Positivity at The General Secretariat of The Cabinet. The visit was part of efforts to examine the strategy of the Programme, define its core elements and review its happiness indicators. 

Yousef Al Reda, CEO of Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector cum Chairman of People Happiness,  RTA, said, “The RTA always seeks to keep abreast of the state policy in bringing happiness to clients and employees, and has got a fully-fledged strategy in this regard. We hold the Happiness Week for customers and employees in March each year to screen their needs and expectations and heed to their views & suggestions with the aim of improving our services and maximizing their satisfaction. We are always keen to elevate this indicator through our strategic plans of questionnaires  and surveys conducted to probe the needs of our clients. 

“We have also introduced the People Happiness office to follow-up initiatives run to bring happiness to clients and employees as part of our efforts to realize the objectives of our government. The Government is focused on making happiness and positivity a practice in government and non-government entities and a lifestyle of various community segments. People Happiness ranks high (third) amongst our eight goals,” continued Al Reda.

Osman Al Madani, Director of Happiness in the National Programme for Happiness and Positivity, made a visual presentation  attended by a host of CEOs, directors and staffs of the RTA. He reviewed the key components of the Programme, which aims at realigning the plans, programs, policies and legislation of the state towards nurturing happiness and positivity in the community. “The Programme motivates public and private entities to launch and adopt initiatives, projects and policies that diffuse happiness & positivity in the community. It also urges them to propose policies, projects and strategic programs for realising happiness & positivity, and improving happiness-rating indexes of government bodies nation-wide. The program endeavors to perpetuate the culture of happiness & positivity as a lifestyle, and raise the public awareness about its importance across the UAE,” added Al Madani.
