Through Website (Knowledge, Yard, or Road)
- The customer logs in to his personal profile on the website using his valid Emirates ID.
- The system verifies the customer’s identity by sending an OTP to his registered phone number.
- The customer books an appointment for the required test.
- If the customer wants to book a remote interpretation for the knowledge test, he selects the service and the remote interpretation fees are added to the test fees.
- The customer settles the required fees at the institute.
- The customer receives an SMS and email with the scheduled appointment date.
Evaluation Test
If the licence expired more than 10 years ago or is not issued after passing a road test, the customer must do the following:
- The customer applies for Renewing a Driving Licence.
- The customer enters the required information.
- The system validates the customer data.
- The customer books an appointment for the evaluation test.
- The customer settles the required fees.
Through Smart Applications (Road test)
- The customer enters the learning permit application number and the date of birth.
- The customer selects an appointment from the list of available appointments.
- The customer settles the required fees by credit card.
Through Driving Institutes (Knowledge, Yard, or Road)
- The customer submits the learning permit application number.
- The customer selects an appointment from the list of available appointments.
- If the customer requests a remote interpretation of the Knowledge test (available in all languages):
- The interpreter calls the centre and gets connected with the customer through Skype.
- The customer takes the exam while the interpreter translates all the questions and options.
- The customer settles the required fees.
- An electronic copy of the receipt is sent to the e-mail registered in the system, and an SMS is sent to the registered phone number with a link to download a copy of the transaction receipt.
Through Smart Screens (Road test)
- The customer enters the Emirates ID number or the learning permit application number.
- The customer selects an appointment from the list of available appointments.
- The customer settles the required fees over the counter in the Institute ahead of booking.
Through the Customer Happiness Centre (Evaluation test and Road test after withdrawing or cancelling the licence)
- The customer submits the required documents at the Customer Happiness Centre in Deira.
- The customer settles the required fees.
- The customer selects an appointment from the list of available appointments. Women apply for the test at the Dubai Driving Center Al Qusais branch, and men apply at the Emirates Driving Center Al Qusais branch.
Through Mahboub Chatbot (Road test)
- The customer inquires about the service through a conversation with Mahboub, for example: booking an appointment for a Road test.
- Mahboub displays the requirements for applying for the service and the required fees.
- Mahboub checks if the customer wants to complete the process of booking a Road test appointment.
- The customer approves and is required to enter the traffic file number and the year of birth in the following format (19xx).
- The customer sets the Road test appointment date and time that suits him.
- The system verifies the identity of the customer by sending an OTP to the mobile number registered in the system.
- The customer settles the required fees by credit card.
- The customer receives the reference number of the transaction.
