Auction-off 90 distinctive plates
(Auction also contains new generation of double-coded plates (AA1111-AA111-AA99))
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is offering 90 catchy number plates of 2, 3, 4 and 5 digits at its forthcoming 103rd Open Auction; the final for 2019 year. Plates on offer at this auction bear (H-I-K-L-M-N-O-P-Q-R-S-T-U-V-W-X-Z) codes.
“Registration of bidders starts on Sunday, Dec 15th 2019 and the bidding process will kick off at 04:30 pm on Saturday, Dec 21st at InterContinental Dubai Festival City Hotel. Interested bidders can register through RTA website (www.rta.ae) or customers happiness centres at Umm Ramool, Deira and Barsha. They can also register on the day of the auction at 02:00 pm. Plates to be auctioned are highlighted by the plate (O 10) and new generation of double-coded plates (AA1111-AA111-AA99), which are expected to captivate the attention of number plate enthusiasts,” said Jamal Al Sadah, Director of Vehicles Licensing at RTA’s Licensing Agency.
“The selling price of licensing plates is subject to a 5% VAT. Each bidder is required to have a Traffic File opened in Dubai, submit a security cheque amounting to AED25,000 made to RTA, and pay an nonrefundable participation fee of AED120. Payment can be made at Customers Happiness Centres at Umm Ramool, Barsha or Deira. Payment can also be made by credit card via (www.rta.ae) or through the Dubai Drive app,” he explained.
