Al Tayer commends RTA winning global Digitization award
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has been named the winner of Digitization Award as part of the Awards of Entrepreneur Middle East Magazine; an affiliate of the USA-based BNC Group. Awards were distributed during a ceremony held recently at St. Regis Hotel, Dubai.
Praising RTA’s winning of this award, HE Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the RTA, said, “The Award is indicative of RTA’s efforts in digitisation. It is reflected in adopting high-level services, utilising digital technologies, and introducing the best techniques and global standards in various business fields. It is particularly satisfying that this Award was a result of surveys and studies commissioned by the magazine through which it had identified RTA’s efforts and pioneering digitisation drive.”
Al Tayer made this statement upon accepting the Award from Abdullah Al Madani, CEO of Corporate Technology Support Services Sector; Khaled Al Awadi, Director of Automated Fare Collection; and Mohammed Al Khayat, Director of Smart Services.
“The RTA always seeks to keep abreast of digitisation in delivering services and projects; which underscores our commitment to keep pace with the directives of our leaders to make Dubai the smartest city in the world. It also contributes to meeting the requisites of the Smart City, first Strategic Goal (Smart Dubai), third Strategic Goal (People Happiness) and seventh Strategic Goal (RTA Excellence). We have to redouble our efforts in this field to measure up with the global standing of Dubai,” noted Al Tayer.
It is noteworthy that Entrepreneur Middle East Magazine used to felicitate outstanding innovators and new products & services in various business fields through conducting regional and international surveys for superiors in this regard.
