Board of the Executive Directors
The Board of Executive Directors that consists of Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of agencies and sectors leads the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). HE Mattar Al Tayer, Director General & Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors head the CEOs. The Board of Executive Directors is the highest authority and the prime mover is to oversee the implementation of RTA’s tasks and responsibilities by adopting strategies and public policies aimed at providing the necessary support to the executive body of RTA. It is made up of a chairperson and eight members who are appointed by decrees from the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai. The board oversees RTA’s cognitive, financial and technical affairs, and take the appropriate decisions and actions to achieve its purposes and objectives.
Chief Executive Officer of the Traffic and Roads Agency
Miatha Bin Adai is the Chief Executive Officer of The Traffic and Roads Agency at RTA, which is responsible for Conducting detailed studies to design, construct, manage, and operate an integrated traffic and roads network in addition to implementing the studies' results pertinent to setting up and applying taxes of traffic and roads and improving traffic technologies.
Chief Executive Officer of the Rail Agency
AbdulMohsin Ibrahim Younes is the Chief Executive Officer of the Rail Agency at RTA, which is responsible for conducting necessary detailed studies to design, construct, manage and operate railway transport systems and supervising the workflow run by consultants and contractors in charge of designing, constructing and managing railways systems.
Chief Executive Officer of The Public Transport Agency
Ahmed Bahrozyan is the Chief Executive Officer of The Public Transport Agency, which is responsible for conducting necessary detailed studies to design, construct, manage and operate the public transport system integrated with other transport elements in Dubai, besides licensing of mass transit routes and vehicles including, school buses, taxis and other means of transport.
Chief Executive Officer of Corporate Administration Support Services Sector
Yousif Ahmed Al Redha is the Chief Executive Officer of the Corporate Administration Support Services Sector at RTA, which is responsible for Providing effective support to all RTA agencies and departments in order to ensure adequate working environment through activating a diversity of means such as hiring qualified staffs along with placing efficient corporate marketing and communication channels to bolster workflow among all RTA’s agencies.
Chief Executive Officer of the Licensing Agency
Abdulla Yousef Al Ali is the Chief Executive Officer of the Licensing Agency at RTA, which is responsible for managing all operations related to vehicles registration and licensing, educating and training of drivers, besides setting policies, legislation and technical standards that properly guarantee roadworthiness of vehicles and competency of drivers. It also issues commercial licensing for transport companies among other tasks.
CEO of Strategy and Corporate Governance Sector
Nasser BuShehab is the Chief Executive Officer of Strategy and corporate governance at RTA, which is responsible for charting, developing and following up on strategies, regulations and long-term plans in favor of the roads and transportation. The Strategy and Corporate Governance Sector also takes on the tasks of corporate governance of RTA's activities and devising the organizational charts of RTA’s associated agencies and sectors, furthermore, mentors and follows up on applicable KPI system whilst instilling and bolstering the knowledge and quality management culture among employees.
Executive Director- Finance Department
Ahmed Ali Al Kaabi – Executive Finance Director in Roads and Transport Authority, who is responsible for managing all financial matters related to RTA Agencies and Sectors by setting the strategies, legislation and financial policies that set in place and monitors the different financial controls that ensures RTA’s solid financial position and minimizes the financial risks that may occur.
