Change the vehicle plate number, renew the reservation of a plate number, replace a lost or damaged plate, and obtain or cancel a third plate number for your light vehicle if you mount a bicycle rack that obstructs the rear plate.

Steps
- Log in using your username and password, or UAE Pass.
- Select the plate you want to change then select Vehicle Plate Management from Vehicle Licensing Services .
- Pay the fines, if any.
- Select the new plate details (number and design) then click Continue .
- Pay the fees.
- Select the centre to hand over the old plates and receive the new ones, or select the plate number and delivery service.
- Receive the Vehicle Ownership Certificate and receipts online.
- Head to the centre to hand over the old plates and receive the new ones within 14 days to avoid the cancellation of the application.

- Select the centre where you can hand over the old plates and receive the new ones.

Steps

- Click Services then select Transport .
- Click My Plates then select the plate you want to change.
- Select Change Plate Number and Design .
- Declare your black points and confirm whether the current plate was lost or stolen.
- Select how you would like to customise your new number then click Continue .
- Specify if you want to return the plates to RTA or reserve them for future use
- Select a plate number from your owned or reserved plates and choose the design.
- Select the delivery and collection method.
- Pay the fees through the available online payment methods.

You Should Know
- You or your legal representative must be present in person if the service is requested through the centre.
- You must hand over the old vehicle plates.
- On Sundays, Al Yalayis Vehicle Testing and Muhaisna Shamil centres only provide inspection services.
- The plates are manufactured on the spot at the service centres.
