    FAQs

    1. Q: If I have a company registered in Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) that carries out commercial transport activities but doesn't have a Traffic File in Dubai, do I still need an NOC from RTA to cancel the Trade Licence?
      • A : If the company carries out commercial transport activities, you must apply for an NOC to amend the Trade Licence using the Traffic File. If the company doesn't have a Traffic File, you must apply for an NOC to issue a Trade Licence, which will automatically generate a Traffic File. You must then contact the RTA Call Centre to update the Trade Licence details in the Traffic File. Once these procedures are completed, you can apply for an NOC to cancel the Trade Licence.
    2. Q: What are the financial commitments of my company when cancelling my Trade Licence?
      • A: Pay to RTA 25% of the total monthly operating fees for every year of the total number of remaining years of the contract.
    3. Q: How can I take back the post-dated cheques covering the monthly operating fees, for the remaining duration of the contract after I cancel my Trade Licence?
      • A : Check with the Finance Department to withdraw and receive the post-dated cheques according to the adopted procedures.
