Dubai Bus on Demand

This service enables you to travel in a smart, efficient and affordable way within Dubai’s major zones where this service is provided. Currently the service is operated in the following zones: Al Barsha (1, 2 and 3), Al Nahda, Dubai Silicon Oasis and Academic City (as one zone), Taj Dubai, Stadium Metro Station, SLS Dubai Hotel and residences, Paramount Hotel Dubai, Business Bay Metro Station, Business Bay 2 Bus Station, Bay Square, Bay Avenue Park.You can book the service individually or as a group, and travel within the same zone from where you started the journey.

Citizens, tourists and residents are eligible to use this service.

Service fees
  • 5 AED per trip per passenger
  • 4 AED for every additional passenger in the same booking.

Process
  1. The customer downloads the smart application.
  2. The customer registers for the service.
  3. The customer activates the application after confirming the provided data and payment details.
  4. The app specifies the location of the bus, seat availability, time required for arrival of the bus, and the estimated travel time to the desired destination within the zone of operation.
  5. The customer books the service using the smart application and pays through one of the following channels:
    • Through credit card on the Dubai Bus On Demand App, based on the trip selected.
    • Through buying "Ride Credits" on the Dubai Bus On Demand App before booking the trip. The customer uses the credits (new or existing) to pay for the service.
    • By selecting nol card as payment method (buy new nol card or top up existing nol card) before using the service.
  6. On arrival of the bus, the customer boards and travels to his chosen destination.

  • The customer shall abide by the terms and conditions of the smart application while registering for the service.
  • The areas where the service is currently operated are shown in the smart application.
  • Passengers can travel only within the same zone from where they started their journey.
  • Separate bookings are required for each trip within a certain zone.
  • For additional information, customers are advised to visit https://thebusondemand.com/, or download Dubai Bus on Demand App from Google Play or App Store.
  • The customer can book for up to 10 people in a single ride.
  • The customer can request a wheelchair space from the App by selecting the Wheelchair Accessibility in his account details.

  • Question 1: Is Bus on Demand fare integrated with Dubai Bus and Metro?

Answer 1: No. The customer must pay separately for each trip made by Bus on Demand.
