Steps
- Enter the information.
- Select the vehicles.
- Select Renew and Amend Vehicle Data Ownership from Vehicle Licensing Services .
- RTA verifies the validity of the vehicle insurance, technical inspection, and the NOC from the relevant entity (insurance, mortgage, police).
- Pay the fees.
- Receive the Vehicle Ownership Certificate through 1 of the following channels:
- SMS or email
- Self Service Machines: enter the transaction details to print the certificate
- Delivery service, in case the plate isn't lost or damaged, with extra fees:
- Standard delivery: AED 20
- Same day delivery: AED 35
- Delivery within 2 hours: AED 50
- International delivery: AED 50
- Apple Wallet (through RTA Dubai App ).

You Should Know
- The vehicle ownership must be valid.
- If you don't renew the expired vehicle registration within 2 months of its expiry, your Traffic File will be blocked and you'll be notified by SMS.
- On Sundays, Al Yalayis Vehicle Testing and Muhaisna Shamil centres only provide inspection services.
You Should Do
- Pay all traffic fines.
- To change the insurance company, enter the new insurance electronically and cancel the old one that's already in the system.
- If you want to amend the mortgage information, add the mortgage electronically or redeem it at the bank.
- In case of colour change, the vehicle must be inspected before applying for the service.
