Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has implemented a package of rapid traffic solutions on Ras Al Khor Road and Al Khail Road, including the addition of new lanes and the upgrade of entry and exit points on both roads. The improvements have boosted road efficiency by 20%. These works form part of RTA’s strategy to implement rapid traffic solutions at locations with high traffic volumes and improve traffic flow. They support RTA’s efforts to provide advanced and sustainable infrastructure that keeps pace with future growth and enhances the quality of life of Dubai’s residents and visitors.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has opened a new 500-metre bridge under the World Trade Centre Roundabout Development Project, as part of its ongoing efforts to advance road infrastructure and enhance the efficiency of Dubai’s road network. The bridge is aimed to facilitate outbound traffic from Al Bada’ towards 2nd December Street, with onward access to Sheikh Rashid Road and Al Mustaqbal Street. It will help accommodate growing traffic volumes in the area, in line with the vision of the wise leadership to make Dubai the best city to live in and move around.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Sunday 19th April 2026, opened the full scope of works under Hessa Street Development Project in the section extending from Sheikh Zayed Road to Al Khail Road over a length of 4.5 km. The project involved widening the street, along with the bridges at Hessa Street’s intersections with Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Asayel Street, First Al Khail Street, and Al Khail Road, to four lanes in each direction. With this, RTA has completed the development of Hessa Street, including all intersection bridges. The project ensures smooth traffic flow between Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road in both directions and reduces travel time from 15 minutes to just 4 minutes.
