Important to Know
You Should Know
- All vehicles receive bus lane fines.
- The bus lanes are located in the following areas: Naif, Mamzar (temporarily closed), Taawun, Al Ghubaiba, Khaled Bin Waleed 1,2, and 3.
- You can pay fines at the counter of Customer Happiness Centres or Vehicle Registration and Inspection Centres in case you're applying for another service such as renewing, registering, or changing the possession of a vehicle.
- You can dispute fines you think you wrongfully received free of charge, through RTA Website only, after providing the following documents:
- Fine number
- Letter with the bank account number (if the fine is paid)
- Vehicle ownership
- Payment receipt (if the fine is paid).
- To submit a dispute application, follow the steps below:
- Go to the Dispute Fines page.
- Enter the information.
- Upload the documents.
- Receive the dispute application reference number and then its status (approved/rejected) through SMS within 30 working days. This duration can be extended if there's new evidence that wasn't previously submitted.
- If your application is approved, receive the refund amount in your bank account within 5 days (if the fine is paid).
- You can submit a dispute within 30 days of the issuance date of all fines.
- The Grievance Committee has the right to reconsider or extend the dispute review period for more than 30 days, if there's new evidence that wasn't previously submitted, according to the Committee policy.
