Steps

  1. Log in using your username and password, or UAE Pass.
  2. Click Marine Vessels Short Rental in the dashboard.
  3. Click Create New Booking in the Marine Vessels Short Rental dashboard.
  4. Select the user type (Resident/Non-Resident), then enter the information.
  5. Indicate whether you're a government employee then upload your Emirates ID or Passport and click Next.
  6. Enter the renting details, then click Add .
  7. Review all the information and the total amount due.
  8. Agree to the terms and conditions then click Submit for Review.
  9. Receive the response within 24 hours.
  10. Pay the fees online with the available options or at the marine station.
  11. Check the booking details, download the ticket from the dashboard, and receive the booking number and details through email.
  12. Present the booking number at the marine station to avail the service.

  3. Receive the service on the booked date and time.
  4. Arrive at the station 15 minutes before the time of the trip and present the booking number to the vessel driver.

You Should Know

  1. You must book the trip 24 hours in advance to make sure the vessel is available.
  2. You must be at the station 15 minutes before the time of the trip.
  3. You can't refund the booking fees.
  4. Select the appropriate vessel based on the following characteristics:
    • Dubai Ferry : The vessel has multiple advantages, such as accessibility for People of Determination (POD), a closed air-conditioned seating area divided into silver class and gold class, a designated back deck to enjoy the open sea view and scenery and take pictures, a more luxurious and comfortable gold class area with wider seating, 2 LCD screens in silver class and 2 LCD screens in gold class, as well as sanitary facilities (separate toilets for males and females and POD). Ferry Dubai accommodates 98 passengers (84 in silver class and 14 in gold class) plus 2 wheelchairs.
    • Dubai Abra : You can rent a Petrol Abra or a Traditional Abra. The Petrol Abra accommodates 20 passengers including 1 wheelchair. The Traditional Abra accommodates 20 passengers.
    • Dubai Water Taxi : The vessel has multiple characteristics, such as complete privacy, an air-conditioned cabin, and luxury leather seats. The cabin can accommodate 19 passengers plus a wheelchair.

Terms and Conditions

  • Children under the age of 12 aren't allowed to use marine transport unless accompanied by an adult. The child's valid Emirates ID or passport (for tourists) must be presented.
  • Children under 12 years accompanied by an adult must wear a life jacket while on board.
  • The route of the trip is subject to change or cancellation due to weather conditions or for safety and security reasons.

  • You'll be fined in case of misconduct as per the list of violations and fines available in marine transport stations.
  • RTA marine vessels can't be used for any promotional activities or any purpose other than the one for which the vessel is chartered.
  • The capacity of the vessel can't be exceeded.
  • It's forbidden to carry out any acts or actions that would cause the cancellation of insurance coverage.
  • You can't instruct the captain of the vessel to drive or change the specified routes agreed during the booking.
  • It's forbidden to instal anything on the internal or external part of the vessel without prior approval of RTA concerned team.
  • In case of damage to the vessel due to misuse, the passengers are liable for the total cost of repairing the damage.
  • In case both parties agree on changing the route of the vessel, the fees are recalculated, and the customer must pay the cost difference.
  • No more than 2 children can be accompanied by a single parent.

  1. Q: Are there any additional facilities available based on customer segment or passenger type?
    • A: There's an area allocated for POD (wheelchairs) individuals to travel safely on all marine transport vessels, with the exception of Electrical Abra.
  2. Q: What's the procedure if I lose my belongings in the marine transport vessels?
    • A: If you lose an item, you must visit the Al Ghubaiba office within 24 hours. After this period, any found items will be transferred to the police department (Emirates IDs or similar identification documents). Regular belongings will be kept at the office until you retrieve them.
