Channels

Steps

  1. Log in using your UAE Pass, Emirates ID number, or Passport.
  2. If you log in using the Emirates ID, you'll receive an OTP on your registered phone number.
  3. Pay the fines, if any.
  4. Select the emirate where the licence can be transferred from the available list.
  5. If your residency is from outside the emirate where you wish to move, upload the documents.
  6. Download the NOC from the dashboard on the RTA website.
  7. Submit the NOC and the original Dubai Driving Licence to the Drivers Licensing Department in the selected emirate to receive the new licence.

  2. Check your licence details and click Proceed .
  3. Pay the fines, if any.
  4. Select the emirate to which you want to transfer the licence, and attach the NOC if required.
  5. Pay the fees.
  6. Download the Digital Transfer Licence Certificate (NOC) from the dashboard.
  7. Hand over the Digital Transfer Licence Certificate and Dubai original Driving Licence at the Drivers Licensing Department of the other emirate to obtain the new licence.

You Should Know

  1. You must be present in person when applying at Customer Happiness or Inspection Centres.
  2.  Hatta Tasjeel Centre provides this service during weekdays only:
    • Monday to Thursday from 7am to 3pm
    • Friday from 4pm to 9pm.
  3. You must surrender your initial Driving Licence when transferred.

  1. To transfer your Driving Licence to Abu Dhabi , you must provide an NOC from the Licensing Authority in Abu Dhabi.

FAQs

  1. Q: If I have a certificate to transfer my Driving Licence from Dubai to another emirate, can I drive a vehicle with the Transfer Certificate until the transaction is completed in the other emirate?
    • A: According to the circular of the Ministry of Interior, you can use the digital Driving Licence to drive within the UAE until the procedures for transferring the Driving Licence to the other emirate are completed (even if the Driving Licence status on the Traffic File is "Transferred").
