New smart kiosks offering upgraded array of services

 

The smart kiosk is part of the RTA’s strategy towards enhancing customers’ satisfaction in terms of saving time & effort while processing their transactions. New smart kiosks have been installed along with upgraded array of services, to bring a total number of 8 services.


The smart kiosks are distributed over several locations including RTA Head Office and Customers Service Centers at Umm Al Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Tawar, Tasjeel Al Barsha, JBR, Al Awir, Al Manara, Al Karama, Tasjeel Al Qusais, Wasl Belhasa, Quick and Shamil Al Muhaisna. Two additional services were added to these kiosks namely the renewal of driver license (currently available in the kiosk at RTA Head Office only) and the renewal of seasonal parking cards, over and above the existing array of services which include: renewal of vehicle registration, inquiry & payment of fines, printing vehicle certificate, receipt of a document, issuing of vehicle registration card, and issuing of replacement of damaged/lost vehicle registration card.


The smart kiosk is the first of its kind across the Dubai Government level that benefits from the database of the customer’s ID card, and accordingly facilitates the transaction processing rather than obliging the customer to appear in person to the front-end staffs. Moreover, the device is fitted with a camera-cum-phone to offer instant audio-visual assistance in case of any procedural or technical glitch might be experienced by the customer.
