Opening of main traffic diversion on Al Wasl Road
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) opens the main traffic diversion on Al Wasl Road, nearby Al Safa Park on the 31st October 2014, stretching about half a kilometer and maintaining the same number of lanes to avoid disruption of the traffic flow. The detour will set the ground for commencing construction works on Phase II of the Dubai Water Canal.
The traffic diversion on Al Wasl Road, which includes the traffic flow coming from the (Jumeirah 3 and Al Saffa 1) to the (Jumeirah 2 and Al Wasl) and vice a versa to the temporary traffic diversion has been constructed with the same number of lanes, and fitted with the required traffic safety means such as traffic signals, directional signage, cautionary lights and concrete barriers.
