RTA activates e-link with DED about commercial licensing
The Roads and Transport Authority has activated the e-traffic link scheme with the Department of Economic Development in Dubai with the aim of issuing all sorts of commercial transport licenses, identifying & controlling the lack of incompatible corporate details at the disposal of both parties, and expediting data copying & feeding through obviating the need for manual entries.
The new systems enables the sharing of all information related to commercial licenses, including those relating to licensing bodies currently dealing with the DED (Tarakhees, Department of Tourism, Dubai Silicon Oasis), besides copying details of partners from the database of the DED without having to enter it manually in the event of issuing new licenses and the joining of new partners along with a report to officials about the details of businesses and the extent of their consistency in order to take appropriate actions. The project has brought about positive deliverables as the minimum time needed to process the transaction is now slashed to 5 minutes and the average waiting time has become 10 minutes only.
