Refunding Personal NOL Card Balance

This service enables you to apply for refunding the remaining e-wallet balance of the personal silver/gold card with special design.

Eligibility

Customers who have personal silver/gold card with special design are eligible to apply for this service.

Required documents

  1. Number of the NOL card
  2. NOL alternative card (if available)
  3. Valid mobile number
  4. Refund request form

Output

Refunding the remaining balance of the card if the conditions are met.

Service fees

5 AED or 2.5% of the card's balance.

  • Stations: 10 minutes.

Ways to apply

Process

If the customer does not desire to use the card even though it is still good:

  • The customer submits the card at the ticket office
  • The customer requests refunding the balance of the NOL card
  • Refund fees will be deducted (5 AED or 2.5% of the remaining balance)
  • The customer receives the remaining balance in cash.

If the card is damaged or misused by the customer (these cases do not require the approval of the Automatic Collection Systems Department)

  • The customer submits the card to the ticket office
  • The customer submits a form to recover the NOL card
  • The customer fills in a form to refund the remaining balance
  • The customer receives the remaining balance
  • The customer replaces the damaged card and adds 20 AED to the balance (optional).

Note: If the customer misuses or does not use the card, the service fees will be deducted and the customer receives the remaining balance.

Terms and conditions

  • The customer can provide the number of an alternative NOL card to transfer the refunded amount to it
  • The customer can refund the card balance even if it is lost
  • If the customer is refunding the balance of an expired card, there are no service fees
  • Ticket offices at metro stations assess whether the card is damaged or not and consequently complete the transaction
  • The customer cannot refund the card balance at NOL ticket office. The customer receives an SMS and then the refund from the authorised stations
  • The customer must read the terms and conditions on the card
  • Refunding the price of the card is not possible
  • If the process time exceeds the specified period, the customer must apply for the service again.
