Replacing A Lost Or Damaged Vehicle Export Certificate

This service enables you to replace a lost or damaged vehicle export certificate.


Reference to the UAE Cabinet Decision (30) of 2017 on traffic and traffic safety services, the fees of driving licenses and vehicles are changed. For more information please visit or contact RTA call centre on the following number: 8009090.


Individual customers, citizens and residents, and companies are eligible to apply for this service.

Required documents

For individuals:

  1. Original Emirates ID to update the information in case of an expired ID
  2. Original certificate in case of damage
  3. Vehicle technical inspection in case of lost certificate

For companies:

  1. Official letter in Arabic from the company requesting the replacement of a lost or damaged vehicle export certificate
  2. Copy of the trade license
  3. Endorsement of signature and Authorization letter.
  4. Original certificate in case of damage
  5. Vehicle technical inspection in case of lost certificate


Export certificate.

  • 100 AED Certificate Fees
  • +20 AED Knowledge and Innovation fees.

  • Mobile application: instantly
  • Service centres and service providers: 10 minutes.

Ways to apply


Through mobile application:

  • The customer enters the vehicle's details
  • The customer receives the certificate through 1 of the following channels:
    • A courier company for a charge of 25 AED. The courier company makes 3 attempts to deliver the certificate before sending it back to the centre where the customer collects it.
    • The Customer Happiness Centre in Al Barsha or Deira.

Through service centres:

  • The customer presents the required documents at the service centre
  • The customer is required to settle the fees
  • The customer receives the export certificate.

Terms and conditions

  • The customer or the legal representative must be present in person
  • The customer is required to settle all the traffic fines before receiving this service.
