Apply for Inspecting a Trailer and Semi-Trailer

This service enables you to inspect trailers and semi-trailers.

Eligibility
Individual customers, citizens and residents, and companies that own private vehicles are eligible to apply for this service.
Required documents

For individuals

  1. Recognition and commitment letter
  2. Possession certificate or Vehicle Clearance Certificate (VCC) or Transfer certificate
  3. Valid insurance
  4. Technical inspection certificate
  5. Chassis engraving pay slip
  6. Receipt of purchasing a trailer or a semi-trailer from the local manufacturing shop
  7. Photo of the trailer or semi-trailer where the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) was engraved on the chassis.

For companies

  1. Copy of the trade licence
  2. No Objection Certificate from the company
  3. Recognition and commitment letter
  4. Possession certificate or Vehicle Clearance Certificate (VCC) or Transfer certificate
  5. Technical inspection certificate
  6. Chassis engraving pay slip
  7. Receipt of purchasing a trailer or a semi-trailer from the local manufacturing shop
  8. Photo of the trailer or semi-trailer chassis where the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) was engraved.
Service fees
  • 150 AED trailer and semi-trailer inspection
  • 150 AED chassis engraving
  • 100 AED trailer and semi-trailer re-inspection
  • +20 AED Knowledge and Innovation fees.
Process time
  • 5 minutes.
Process

Through service centres

  • The customer fills in the forms of licensing a trailer or a semi-trailer at the service centre.
  • The customer submits the required documents.
  • The customer is required to settle the service fees.
Average waiting time
  • 10 minutes.
Validity
  • Chassis VIN: 90 days
  • Validity of inspection certificate: 30 days.
