Apply for Mobility Permit for Heavy Construction Vehicles

The circulation of heavy construction vehicles (cranes) at any time and on roads not intended for this purpose constitutes a traffic violation. Therefore, if you need to drive these vehicles, you must apply for a mobility permit from the Right-of-Way (ROW) Department.

Steps

  1. Log in using your username and password.
  2. Select New Permits from the left-side menu.
  3. Click Permit Type .
  4. Select the application type as per the required permit and scope of work.
  5. Upload the documents.
  6. Click Submit to generate the application number.
  7. Receive the approval on the application.
  8. Pay the fees.
  9. Download the permit from the application page.
  10. If you want to renew the permit, click Renew in the dashboard then enter the duration and the description of the work and pay the new permit issuance fee.
  11. In case of rejection, receive a notification by SMS, and the rejection letter and the reasons by email.

  1. The application will be automatically cancelled if you don't respond to the discussion initiated by the processor or if you don't pay all required fees before the permit expiry date specified in the application details page, or within 15 days, whichever comes first.

  • Abide by the manuals and policies of RTA and the Order No. 4 of 2009 related to organising the Right-of-Way in Dubai.
  • The Inspection Section at the Right-of-Way Department has the right to issue a warning or a fine against companies that use a part of the ROW without a permit.
