Apply for Access Design Study

The service provides a preliminary study for the design and coordination of entrances and exits to construction sites in Dubai. This includes technical consultation and guidance on the planning and design of entrances and exits in accordance with engineering standards and municipal regulations, as well as facilitating safe access to the site for vehicles and individuals.

Channels

Steps

  1. Log in using your username and password.
  2. Select New Permits from the left-side menu.
  3. Click Permit Type and select the application type as per the required permit and scope of work.
  4. Select the sub-type of the application.
  5. Enter the duration and a clear description of the work as per the scope of work.
  6. Fill in your information.
  7. Mark the proposed work location on the map.
  8. Enter the contractor's contact information for technical discussion, if required.
  9. Enter the project information.
  10. Upload the documents.
  11. Click Submit to generate the application number.
  12. Receive the approval on the application after its successful review by RTA engineer in coordination with the relevant internal departments.
  13. If you want to renew the permit, click Renew in the dashboard then enter the duration and the description of the work and pay the new permit issuance fee.
  14. In case of rejection, receive a notification by SMS, and the rejection letter and the reasons by email. You can also view them on the application page.

Important to Know

You Should Know

  1. The Access Design Study Permit covers all types of plots for individuals, with the exception of those that require Design and Build NOC, for which you must apply through  Dubai Building Permit System .

  1. Detailed Layout of the proposed entrances and exits as per RTA standards (including existing road infrastructure)
  2. Letter from the consultant with land use details (optional)
  3. Copy of the Affection Plan (for projects in areas not regulated by Dubai Municipality)
  4. Building or Demolition Permit from Dubai Municipality or the developer (for projects in areas not regulated by Dubai Municipality)
