Obtain a permit to divert roads, or to close minor roads and intersections, to carry out construction or maintenance works within roads projects in the Right-of-Way (ROW).

Steps
- Log in using your username and password.
- Click Apply for a New Permit.
- Select the application type as per the required permit and scope of work.
- Enter the required information and upload the documents.
- Click Submit to generate the application number.
- Receive the approval on the application after its successful review by the RTA engineer in coordination with the relevant internal departments.
- Pay the fees.
- Download the permit and approved drawings from the application page.
- If you want to renew the permit, click Renew in the dashboard then enter the duration and the description of the work and pay the new permit issuance fee.
- In case of rejection, receive a notification by SMS, and the rejection letter and the reasons by email.

Important to Know
You Should Know
- If the works don't require a No Objection Certificate (NOC), you must submit a refundable deposit because the fees are collected after the final approval of the permit.
- The application will be automatically cancelled if you don't respond to the discussion initiated by the processor or if you don't pay all required fees before the permit expiry date specified in the application details page, or within 15 days, whichever comes first.
- You can obtain multiple copies of the Work Zone Traffic Management Manual, but at least one copy is mandatory for each company. Copies can be bought from the Customer Happiness Centre – Umm Ramool for AED 2,020 (AED 2,000 manual fee + AED 20 Knowledge and Innovation fee). The receipt must be submitted with the application.

Service Requirements
- Detailed Layout on a suitable scale showing the existing conditions, the proposed traffic diversion works, the proper traffic management instruments, and all the safety measures as per the Work Zone Traffic Management Manual approved in Dubai. The drawings must be signed and stamped by the contractor, the consultant, and yourself
- Copy of the Affection Plan issued by the Building and Land Licensing Authority for building construction applications in the area (for projects in areas not regulated by Dubai Municipality)
- Copy of the Building Permit issued by the Building Permits authorities for building construction applications (for projects in areas not regulated by Dubai Municipality)
- Photos of the work zone (with date)
- Copy of the purchase receipt of the Work Zone Traffic Management Manual approved by RTA
