Landscaping enhances environmental sustainability and increases the percentage of green spaces in the emirate. Right-of-Way landscaping requires a permit from RTA. The permit doesn't include tree planting.

Steps
- Log in using your username and password, or UAE Pass.
- Fill in the application.
- Upload the documents and submit the application.
- Receive RTA response within 7 days through email and SMS.
- In case of approval, receive the permit through email and a notification through SMS.
- In case of rejection, receive the reasons through email and a notification through SMS.

Important to Know
You Should Know
- You or your legal representative must agree to the below conditions that are stated in the application:
- The digging must be done manually to protect the service lines and the depth mustn't exceed 50cm.
- Commit to carry out landscape maintenance works to preserve the beauty of the site.
- Remove all plants upon the request of any governmental entity, noting that these entities aren't responsible for replanting the site.
- If the design isn't available, you must comply with the design provided by the Roads Landscaping Section.
- Commit to implement all the above-mentioned items and works included in the approved design, at your own expense.
- Secure a pedestrian pathway of 1.5m and ensure that no elements obstruct it.

Terms and Conditions
- You can't plant palm trees or any other kind of trees before having the approval of the No Objection Certificates (NOC) Section.
- If the NOC Section doesn't approve the planting of trees, planting will be limited to ground covers, grass landscapes, flowers, and shallow root shrubs.
FAQs
- Q : Am I allowed to place flower pots?
- A : Yes, as long as these pots don't obstruct the pedestrian path and don't affect the traffic safety.
- Q : Is it possible to connect a treated water irrigation network?
- A : Yes, after communicating with Dubai Municipality and obtaining the necessary approvals from the Agriculture and Irrigation Department.
