Apply for a Temporary Fence for Construction Sites
This permit enables you to occupy part of the Right-of-Way (sikka, footpath, parking, or part of the road) to instal a temporary fence for a construction site. The temporary fence is installed around the project site to protect the work zone and the road users from potential hazards.

Steps
- Log in using your username and password.
- Select New Permits from the left-side menu.
- Click Utilise Part of The Right-of-Way .
- Select Temporary Fence for Construction Sites from the sub-type menu.
- Enter the duration and a clear description of the work as per the scope of work.
- Fill in your information.
- Mark the proposed work location on the map.
- Enter the contractor's contact information for technical discussion, if required.
- Enter the project information.
- Upload the documents.
- Click Submit to generate the application number.
- Receive the approval on the application after its successful review by the RTA engineer in coordination with the relevant internal departments.
- Pay the fees.
- Download the permit and approved drawings from the application page.
- To renew the permit, click Renew in the dashboard then enter the duration and the description of the work and pay the new permit issuance fee.
- In case of rejection, receive a notification by SMS, and the rejection letter and the reasons by email.

Important to Know
You Should Know
- This permit is for blank fences only with no advertisement. In case you want to add an advertising content, you must submit a separate application to the RTA Advertisement and Investment Services Section.
- You can apply through RTA website for permits related to all types of plots except those regulated by Dubai Municipality, for which you must apply through Dubai Building Permit System .
- The application will be automatically cancelled if you don't respond to the discussion initiated by the processor or if you don't pay all required fees before the permit expiry date specified in the application details page, or within 15 days, whichever comes first.

- Detailed Layout showing the existing conditions and the proposed temporary fence around the project
- Copy of the Affection Plan (for projects in areas not regulated by Dubai Municipality)
- Copy of the Building Permit issued by the Building Permits authorities for building construction applications (for projects in areas not regulated by Dubai Municipality)
- Site photos
- Building Construction or Demolition Permit from RTA
- Copy of the deposit receipt (when renewing the permit and if the works affect RTA assets)
