This service enables you to check and register interest in investment opportunities at RTA, and lease commercial spaces in metro, tram, bus and marine stations, Multi story carpark, MLCP, Truck Lay-bys and Right-of-Way (RTA assets).

Investor registration

  1. Trade Licence or initial trade name reservation
  2. Copy of the Emirates ID or passport of the owner
  3. Contact person name, phone number and email address

Pre-qualification for contracts above AED 1 million

  1. TRN certificate, if available
  2. Memorandum of Association
  3. Membership certificate if the company is SME
  4. Company profile
  5. Organizational chart
  6. Etihad Risk Bureau report
  7. Bank Statement for minor services up to 1 million AED financial limit
  8. Audit report for major projects above 1 million AED
  9. Investor banker details
  10. Previous similar experiences + supporting documents (contract, letter of award, LPO), value of projects and relevant experience details
  11. Contacts and key staff details and CVs
  12. Signed and stamped undertaking letter

Process

Through Website

  1. The customer logs in using his username and password or through UAE Pass
  2. The customer clicks on explore Investment Opportunities.
  3. The customer selects the desired Opportunity.
  4. If the customer is EPQ qualified, he uploads the trade licence and submits the form.
  5. If the customer is not EPQ qualified, he uploads the EPQ required documents and submits the form.
  6. If the request is approved the customer receives an email to pay the Performance Bond value.
  7. The customer goes to Investment dashboard
  8. The customer clicks on Pay and pays the required fees
  9. The customer receives an email with the payment confirmation and downloads the receipt from the dashboard.
  10. Leasing team contact the customer to complete the leasing formalities.

Through Email

  1. The customer sends an email to RTA to submit the application and book an appointment.
  2. RTA sends to the customer a list of the available outlets.
  3. The customer selects the desired location.
  4. The customer uploads the scanned required documents.
  5. The customer registers in RTA EPQ System.
  6. The customer heads to RTA to submit the post-dated cheques for rent and the performance bond, and to settle the required fees.
  7. The customer signs the investment agreement with RTA after finalising the service requirements with the leasing representative.

Through RTA Headquarters

  1. The customer heads to RTA to check outlets availability.
  2. The customer selects the desired location.
  3. The customer presents the required documents.
  4. The customer registers in RTA EPQ System.
  5. The customer submits the post-dated cheques for rent and the performance bond, and settles the required fees.
  6. The customer signs the investment agreement with RTA after finalising the service requirements with the leasing representative.

  • Customers are subject to pre-qualifications for contracts above 1 million AED. For more details on requirements and processes, customers can download the qualification guide for suppliers and investors from RTA website.
  • Investors with valid trade licence can register in the VIMS by themselves.
  • Investors with initial trade name reservation has to provide RTA with the reservation certificate and contact details to create a dummy account.
  • The investor must comply with the requirements published with the investment opportunity.
  • Specific requirements for each investment opportunity are provided with each opportunity.
  • The terms and conditions are set in accordance with the provisions of the Investment Agreement of RTA. For more details, the customer can contact RTA through investor.support@rta.ae.

  • Question 1: What is the expected rent price?

Answer 1: The price varies according to the commercial space. It also varies by location.

  • Question 2: What is the type of the agreement?

Answer 2: It is an investment agreement with RTA.

  • Question 3: What is the estimated period to set up and furnish the outlet?

Answer 3: The period is up to 6 months maximum.

  • Question 4: What are the conditions related to the agreement violation? What are the terms and conditions of the agreement?

Answer 4: RTA works in accordance with the investment agreement.

  • Question 5: Are there any service fees, maintenance fees or any additional fees? Where does the customer settle them?

Answer 5: There is a basic fee, service charges and VAT that the customer is required to settle as part of the investment agreement. All cheques should be submitted to the collection department in RTA.

Answer 6: RTA invest is a webpage where RTA publishes the details of all upcoming and ongoing investment opportunities related to retail store leases at RTA premises, Public Private Partnership projects, advertisement leases, etc.

  • Question 7: Can the customer suggest an investment idea on RTA Invest?

Answer 7: Registered users can submit their suggestions from their dashboard. Investment Relations and Services section reviews and responds to them.

  • Question 8: Can the customer raise queries on opportunities listed on RTA invest?

Answer 8: The customer can submit his queries about the opportunities listed in RTA Invest by sending a message through the opportunity link, or an email to Investment Relations and Services section Investor.support@rta.ae, or through any other mean specified in the tender documents.

  • Question 9: How can the customer lease a shop from RTA Invest?

Answer 9: Details related to leasing shops are available under the Retail Opportunities section. Customers specify their preferred location and follow the instructions provided on the page to fill the lease application.

  • Question 10: How does the customer know if he’s eligible for an opportunity listed in RTA Invest?

Answer 10: Eligibility requirements are specified in every opportunity. For further clarifications, the customer can contact the Investment Relations and Services section or send an email to Investor.support@rta.ae.
