RTA’s Traffic Plan and Road Closures on New Year’s Eve

RTA is at your service to ensure the New Years Celebrations are comfortable and safe, and to guarantee. smooth and easy commute. To facilitate your arrival to your destination on time, view the road closures leading to Burj Khalifa area, and plan your journey via S’hail app (you can download the app on App Store, Google Play and Huawei AppGallery.)
The Traffic Plan Around Burj Khalifa Area
Please note that all roads leading to Burj Khalifa will be closed on the evening of December 31, 2025, according to the schedule in the table below. Make sure to depart early to reach your destination before the closures begin.

Transport Plan
Take a look at the public transport plan, available parking spots and timings below. Please ensure that your nol card balance has a minimum of AED 15 for holders of a silver card and 30 AED for holders of the gold card for a round trip.
Metro, Tram and Parking
Dubai Metro Red and Green Lines will be operating from 5:00 AM on Wednesday, 31 December 2025, until 11:59 PM on Thursday, 1 January 2026.
You can park your vehicle at any of the stations below to take the metro seamlessly to your destination:
- Centrepoint Station
- e& Station
- National Paints Station
- Jumeirah Golf Estates Station
Dubai Tram is also at your service to reach JBR and take part in the celebrations. It will be operating from 6:00 AM on December 31 2025 until 1:00 AM on 02 January 2026.
Taxis and Buses
Our Taxi Services are ready to guarantee smooth travelling on New Year’s Eve. They will be available at:
- Al Wasl Club Parking Lots
- Al Kifaf Parking Lots
Our Buses are at your service to transport you for free between the celebrations at Burj Khalifa, metro stations and taxi parking lots once the celebrations are over. They are available at:
- Sheikh Zayed Road
- Financial Centre Street Lower Deck

New Year’s Eve Road Closure Plan for JBR
- Only taxis will be allowed on King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street throughout the celebrations.
- The JBR area will be fully closed to traffic and designated for pedestrians only, starting from 4:00 pm.
- E-hailing vehicles and limousines will not be allowed to access King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street from 11:00 pm until 1:00 am.
- As Bluewaters reaches full capacity, access to the area will be restricted depending on traffic conditions.
