As part of Dubai's ongoing commitment to world-class infrastructure, RTA has completed the comprehensive Oud Maitha and Al Asayel Streets Development Project. The project features the enhancement of four major interchanges, construction of four bridges and two tunnels spanning 4,300 metres, and 14 kilometres of improved roads. Once open, it will increase traffic capacity on Oud Maitha Street by 50%, from 10,400 to 15,600 vehicles per hour in both directions, reducing journey time from 20 minutes to just 5.
