The Trade Centre Interchange is now open
New Ways Forward
New routes around DWTC make it easier to reach Dubai’s key business, cultural and lifestyle destinations, and beyond.
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has opened the final bridge as part of the Trade Centre Roundabout Development Project. The 1,000-metre-long bridge has two lanes and a capacity of approximately 3,000 vehicles per hour. It serves traffic travelling from Al Majlis Street towards 2nd December Street and contributes to:
- Enhancing traffic flow.
- Reducing journey time from Al Majlis Street to 2nd December Street from 13 minutes to 6 minutes.
- Improving traffic flow at one of the emirate’s key strategic intersections.
- Increasing the road network’s capacity by 33%, accommodating up to 12,000 vehicles per hour through its integration with Al Mustaqbal Street.
- Facilitating the daily journeys of more than half a million residents and visitors, while strengthening the direct connection between Sheikh Zayed Road and the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and Dubai World Trade Centre.
With the opening of this bridge, RTA has completed all major works under the Trade Centre Roundabout Development Project, which involved the construction of five bridges with a combined length of 5,000 metres, at a total cost exceeding AED 696 million.
