Roadworks commence on Al Safa Street.
As part of the wider Jumeira and Al Wasl Street network enhancements, work is now underway to upgrade Al Safa Road and improve traffic flow and connectivity.
The 1.5 km development will connect Sheikh Zayed Road with Al Wasl Street through upgraded roads, bridges, tunnels and intersections, making journeys through the area smoother and more efficient.

The road’s capacity will double to 12,000 vehicles per
hour in both directions, helping improve traffic flow.
2 bridges and 2 tunnels
New grade-separated connections will improve movement
between Al Safa, Al Wasl, Sheikh Zayed Road and Financial Centre Street.
4 lanes in each direction
Al Safa Street will be widened from three
signal-controlled lanes to four lanes in each direction.
More than better roads
The improvements also include dedicated pedestrian and cycling paths, upgraded urban spaces and landscaping, creating safer and more accessible ways to move through the area.
