New Bridge Cuts Journey Time from 10 Minutes to 2 Minutes
Faster and smoother access from Dubai World Trade Centre to Al Mustaqbal Street.
RTA has opened a 500-metre, two-lane bridge serving traffic from Dubai World Trade Centre and One Central towards the intersection of Al Mustaqbal Street and Za’abeel Palace Street, cutting journey time from Dubai World Trade Centre during major events from 10 minutes to just two minutes. The bridge forms part of the AED 633 million Al Mustaqbal Street Development Project, which includes 2,000 metres of bridges and tunnels, as well as widening Al Mustaqbal Street from three to four lanes in each direction. Upon completion of the project, journey time along Al Mustaqbal Street will be reduced from 13 minutes to six minutes, while the street’s capacity will increase by 33%.
