RTA opened in January 2022 the Infinity Bridge project which is 295 meters long, 56.5 meters wide with the ability to accommodate 24,000 vehicles in both directions. It rises 15.5 meters high above the creek levels, allowing complete freedom of movement to large boats and yachts around the clock. The bridge has an architectural arch shaped in the form of the infinity symbol which is inspired by the infinity concept and thus symbolizes Dubai’s unlimited ambitions.
The bridge is also considered to be a key component of Al Shindagha Corridor Project. It consists of six lanes in each direction in addition to a combined 3-metre-wide track for pedestrians and cyclists which supports development needs and improves the link between Deira and Bur Dubai by raising the total number of lanes crossing Dubai Creek from 48 to 60.
