Project Description

• It includes digging the Water Canal, building the Canal sides and constructing pedestrian bridges linking the two sides of the Canal
• Constructing 4 marine transit stations
• Constructing a bridge on the Sheikh Zayed Road crossing over the Canal waterway, comprising 8 lanes in each direction
• Constructing bridges on Al Wasl and Jumeirah Roads
• Construction of a fully-fledged multi-tier flyover to link the traffic between Al Wasl, Al Athar and Al Hadeeqa Roads
• Construction of a sewage pumping station and coastal works for the breakwater
• Improvements in main roads intersecting the Canal in addition to some works in the surrounding areas such as Jumeirah
• As for pedestrians, a free and safe traffic movement is provided through the construction of 4 pedestrian crossings over the Canal; one of them contains retail and dining outlets.
• Dedicated lanes are provided for practicing light sports such as jogging and cycling along both sides of the Canal
• It includes landscaping works on both sides of the Canal
