The honours were presented in recognition of best practices across three categories: Digital Transformation in Transportation, Cloud Computing Solutions, and Enterprise Architecture.

RTA has completed 40% of the nol system upgrade, transitioning from the existing card-based ticketing system to the more advanced account-based ticketing (ABT) technology.

The system is designed to redefine urban mobility, featuring an innovative design, autonomous driving capabilities, and environmentally friendly operations, making it a sustainable and efficient public transport solution.

RTA announced that public transport and shared mobility services in Dubai served 747.1 million riders in 2024, reflecting a 6.4% increase from 702 million riders in 2023.

RTA has adopted its Sustainability Framework 2030, outlining future directions, current enablers, and supporting proposals. Built on three key pillars (environment, economy, and society) the framework aligns with Dubai’s 2030 vision and strengthens its global leadership in sustainable development.

The total number of passengers using public transport, shared mobility and taxis in Dubai during the New Year’s Eve 2025 celebrations reached 2,502,474, marking a 9.3% increase compared to the 2,288,631 passengers recorded on the same occasion last year.

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and ENOC Group have signed a trial agreement to explore the feasibility of green hydrogen-powered mobility solutions in Dubai to drive the Dubai Green Mobility Strategy 2030 and support the development of the UAE's green hydrogen economy.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has won the prestigious Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) Global Leadership Award in Energy Management for 2024, under the Energy Management Insight Awards category.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed street lighting projects in Umm Suqeim 1, Abu Hail, and Al Baraha. This initiative is part of the 2024–2026 Street Lighting Plan, which targets the illumination of 40 areas across Dubai by the end of 2026.

A session titled "Electrification: A Green Revolution Against Climate Change" explored the role of electricity and its use in transportation to reduce carbon emissions and enhance sustainability. It also addressed the importance of developing advanced infrastructure that contributes to the successful operation of electric vehicles.

It aims to reduce abra manufacturing time by 90%, slash manufacturing costs by 30%, and cut operation and maintenance expenses by 30%. Additionally, it supports RTA's environmental sustainability strategy for maritime transport.

Route 2020 project was honoured for its contribution in reducing 35,319 tonnes of carbon emissions and implementing best practices for conserving the environment.
