This service enables you to purchase a nol Red Ticket loaded with a number of trips, or a Silver or Gold anonymous nol card, or a Silver or Gold Virtual nol card. It is a smart card used in all transportation means like Metro, Tram, Bus, Dubai Ferry, taxi vehicles, in Parking Meters, and non-transportation services like authorised sales agents, and to access museums. nol Red Ticket usage is limited to the Bus, Metro and Tram. Only personal nol cards can be purchased through the website and not anonymous nol cards.

Through nol Pay application

Purchase an anonymous nol card:

  1. The customer downloads and logs in to the nol Pay application using his UAE pass.
  2. The customer selects Buy Virtual nol Card.
  3. The customer settles the fees by credit or debit card directly or later at authorised sales agents.

Through Ticket Office Machines

Purchase an anonymous nol card:

  1. The customer heads to any Ticket Office Machine.
  2. The customer requests the card type (Silver or Gold) from the station agent.
  3. The customer settles the fees.
  4. The customer receives the card.

Purchase nol Red Ticket:

  1. The customer heads to any Ticket Office Machine.
  2. The customer requests a Red Ticket specifying the class type, zones, number of trips or the 1 day travel pass product.
  3. The customer settles the fees.
  4. The customer receives the Red Ticket.

Through Ticket Vending Machines

Purchase nol Red Ticket:

  1. The customer heads to the Ticket Vending Machine.
  2. The customer selects nol Red Ticket.
  3. The customer selects the class type, zones, number of trips or the 1 day travel pass product.
  4. The customer settles the fees.
  5. The customer receives the Red Ticket.

Purchase an anonymous nol card:

  1. The customer heads to the Ticket Vending Machine.
  2. The customer selects nol Card.
  3. The customer selects the card type (Silver or Gold).
  4. The customer tops-up his nol card balance (optional)
  5. The customer pays the fees.
  6. The customer receives the nol card.

Through Authorised Sales Agents

Purchase an anonymous nol card:

  1. The customer requests the card type (Silver or Gold) from the station agent.
  2. The customer settles the fees.
  3. The customer receives the card.

Validity
  • Silver/Gold nol card: 5 years plus 2 years after the expiry, without eligibility to top up the card
  • nol red ticket: 90 days reloadable with a maximum of 10 trips or 5 daily passes.

Terms and conditions
  • The journey fare is calculated automatically and deducted from the customer’s card balance.
  • The card is valid in all means of public transport and non-transportation services, except for nol Red Ticket that's limited to the Bus, Metro and Tram.
  • Gold card holders can use the first class cabin in the Tram and Metro.
  • The customer can buy and manage virtual nol cards through nol Pay app only, on compatible Samsung phones and Huawei phones only, and through the wallet of Huawei watch 3 and 3 Pro.
  • Physical nol card holders can benefit from some nol services on their physical nol cards through nol Pay application:

    • Top up Nol card
    • Refund nol cards balance (replace a lost or damaged nol card service)
  • Only personal nol cards can be purchased through the website and not anonymous nol cards.

  • Question 1: What are the features of nol Silver Card?

Answer 1: nol Silver Card is a smart card with a balance that can be loaded up to 1,000 AED for non-registered users and 5,000 AED after registration in the system. The card can be purchased instantly from any Ticket Office or a number of Ticket Vending Machines for only 25 AED including 19 AED card balance.

  • Question 2: Where can the customer top-up his nol Card?

Answer 2: nol Cards can be topped-up through nol Pay application, Ticket Offices, Ticket Vending Machines, and authorised sales agents. The customer can visit the following link for more information.

  • Question 3: What is a nol Gold Card, and what is the difference between it and other nol Cards?

Answer 3: nol Gold Card is an anonymous card with the same features as the Silver Card, but it gives the customer the privileged access to the Metro’s Gold Class seats for premium charges.

  • Question 4: Can the customer use the nol Gold Card on all transport means?

Answer 4: Yes. The Gold Card can be used on all public transport means. It can also be used at RTA parking machines to pay for parking, in addition to the previously mentioned features.

  • Question 5: Will the customer pay Gold Class premium fares even if there were no available seats in the Gold Class Metro cars?

Answer 5: Yes, if the customer uses his Gold Card on the Metro or Tram, he will always be charged the Gold Class premium fare, even if there were no seats available in the designated Gold Class car. But if he uses it on the Bus or any other transport means like taxi vehicles, that don't offer a Gold Class service, he will be charged the regular fare.

  • Question 6: How can the customer purchase a nol Gold Card and what is the cost?

Answer 6: The customer can purchase a Gold nol card from the Ticket Office Machines and some Ticket Vending Machines. He can also purchase a Virtual Gold nol card from nol Pay application. nol Gold card price is 25 AED including 19 AED card balance.
