Apply for an Installation Permit of a Temporary Fencing

This service enables you to obtain a permit to occupy part of the Right of Way (sikka, interlock, parking or part of the road) to install a temporary fence. The temporary fence is installed around the project site to protect the work zone and the road users from potential hazards.

Eligibility
Contractors and consultants are eligible to apply for this service.
Required documents
  1. Detailed layout showing the existing conditions with the proposed temporary fence around the project
  2. Copy of the affection plan (for projects in areas not regulated by Dubai Municipality)
  3. Copy of the building permit issued by the Building Permits authorities for building construction applications (for projects in areas not regulated by Dubai Municipality)
  4. Site photos
  5. Building Construction or Demolition Permit from RTA
  6. Copy of the deposit receipt (when renewing the permit and if the works affect RTA assets).
Service fees
  • 3 months: 200 AED
  • 6 months: 400 AED
  • 9 months: 600 AED
  • 12 months: 800 AED
  • Refundable deposit according to the area (if required)
  • +20 AED Knowledge and Innovation fees.

  1. The customer logs in to the company account using the username and password or through UAE Pass.
  2. The customer fills the required information and submits the required documents.
  3. The customer receives the approval on the application and the payment link through email and website, after its successful review by RTA Engineer in coordination with the relevant internal departments.
  4. The customer pays the fees and receives the permit and approved drawings through the website and by email.
  5. If the application is rejected, the customer receives the rejection reasons through the website or by email.
  6. To renew the permit, the customer clicks on Renew in the dashboard then enters the duration and the description of the work and pays the new permit issuance fee.

Terms and conditions
  • This permit is for blank fences only with no advertisement. In case of adding an advertising content, the customer must submit a separate application to the RTA Advertisement and Investment Services section.
  • Contractors and consultants can apply through RTA website for permits related to all types of plots except those under Dubai Municipality authority, for which they apply through Dubai Building Permit System.
  • If the customer does not pay the fees within the stated period, the permit is automatically cancelled.
