Hourly Vehicle Rental

This service enables you to rent a vehicle on hourly basis within Dubai for a maximum period of 24 hours.

Eligibility
All individuals who hold a valid driver licence accepted in the UAE for the same class of vehicle, are eligible to apply for this service.

  • Minimum Fare: 50 fils per minute (30 AED / hour).
  • Maximum Fare: 3.5 AED per minute (210 AED / hour).

Terms and conditions
  • This service is available only within the emirate of Dubai. The customer can travel to other emirates, but he must start and end his trip in Dubai.
  • The customer can check the terms and conditions just after downloading the App and before registration.
  • The trip fare includes fuel, parking, and insurance costs (based on the insurance policy of each company), but does not include Salik toll gate charges, which will be separately charged to the passenger.
  • The maximum booking hours should not exceed 24 hours.

Answer 1: There are 2 companies for this service: Udrive and Yaldi.

  • Question 2: What is the total number of vehicles in Dubai?

Answer 2: 400 vehicles; 200 for Udrive and 200 for Yaldi.

  • Question 3: Can someone else use the vehicle other than the person who rented it?

Answer 3: No, only one person can book the vehicle and drive it. Once the vehicle is booked by a user, it will no longer be visible to any other user.

  • Question 4: What is the lost and found process for UDrive and Yaldi?

Answer 4: The customer must contact the company directly to report lost and found items.

  • Question 5: How can the customer find a vehicle to use?

Answer 5: The customer must register on the mobile application and search for the nearest available vehicle.

  • Question 6: Will there be a driver in the car?

Answer 6: No, the customer will drive the vehicle himself.

  • Question 7: How does the customer start the vehicle?

Answer 7: When the customer registers for the service in the application, the selected vehicle will unlock once he's near it.

  • Question 8: How does the customer end the journey?

Answer 8: Once the journey is completed, the customer must click the "END" button in the application or on the device in the vehicle.

  • Question 9: If the customer submits expired documents, what will happen to the registration?

Answer 9: If any of the documents expires, the account will expire as well. Therefore, the customer must renew the account and provide valid documents.

  • Question 10: How does the customer pay?

Answer 10: Once the journey is completed, the customer is able to view the fees. The total amount will be automatically deducted from his bank card.

Note: The customer must provide his credit card details when registering on the application.

Answer 11: The registration process involves downloading the mobile apps (UDrive or Yaldi), entering the details, and uploading a selfie with a clearly visible Emirates ID, passport, or driving licence.

Answer 12: The vehicles will be fully monitored by Dubai Police.

  • Question 13: Where can the customer park the vehicle and does he need to pay for parking?

Answer 13: Every vehicle has a valid seasonal parking card in category A. The customer does not need to pay for parking.

  • Question 14: Who is responsible for refuelling the vehicle?

Answer 14: Each vehicle has a VIP card for refuelling at gas stations. The customer does not need to pay.

  • Question 15: If the customer's driving licence or Emirates ID expired, can he rent a vehicle?

Answer 15: No, the customer will not be able to rent a vehicle as the account will freeze. He needs to renew his account and provide a valid Emirates ID and driving licence.

  • Question 16: In case of an accident, what are the insurance terms and conditions that apply?

Answer 16: In case of an accident, the customer benefits from the service according to the terms and conditions of the insurance company, that he has previously agreed to.
