Transport Using Dubai WaterBus - AC Abra

This service enables you to use the WaterBus or AC Abra as a regular commuter or tourist, depending on the operation status and conditions.Those vessels provide multiple facilities, such as accessibility for People of Determination, a closed air-conditioned seating area, and sanitary facilities (toilet) on the WaterBus only. The WaterBus accommodates up to 23 passengers plus a wheelchair, and the AC Abra 19 passengers plus a wheelchair.

  1. WaterBus/AC Abra ticket, nol Card (with a minimum balance of the full trip) or a One Day Pass (only in Dubai Marina Area).

  1. The customer accesses RTA website/Public Transport/Marine/Book Marine Ticket.
  2. The customer selects the area, mode of transportation, and route.
  3. The customer selects the number of tickets he wants to buy.
  4. The customer adds his personal information and pays using the available online payment options.
  5. The customer saves the booking, downloads, or prints the ticket.
  6. The customer shows the ticket to the deckhand to validate the ticket before boarding and after arrival.

Through Marine Stations

  1. The customer purchases the ticket or uses his nol card.
  2. The customer shows the ticket to the deckhand to validate it or taps the nol card on the validator before boarding and after arrival.

Terms and conditions
  • The customer must comply with the terms and conditions listed on the ticket.
  • The customer must be at the station 5 minutes before the trip time.
  • Trips are subject to change or cancellation due to weather conditions or safety and security reasons.
  • Customers are fined in case of misconduct as per the violation and fines list available in marine transport stations.
  • It is not allowed for children under the age of 12 to use marine transport if not accompanied by an adult, and must present a valid Emirates ID of the child.
  • Children under 12 years accompanied by an adult must wear a life jacket while on board.
  • A Valid Emirates ID of the child must be presented to the Ticketing and Information Office at Marine Transport Stations.

FAQs
  • Question 1: What is the procedure if the customer loses his belongings in the marine means of transport?

Answer 1: For lost and found items, the customer must head to Al Ghubaiba office within 24 hours. After that period, the office will give the found items to the police department (Emirates IDs or the equivalent). In case of regular belongings, they will be kept at the office until the customer takes them.

  • Question 2: What is the procedure if the customer finds the belongings of another passenger on the marine vessel?

Answer 2: The customer must report it to the deckhand/ driver or to Al Ghubaiba office.

  • Question 3: How can People of Determination passengers transport using Dubai WaterBus?

Answer 3: Two People of Determination can be accommodated per trip on board the WaterBus, free of charge. All they have to do is present their People of Determination card to the customer service agent before boarding the vessel. (Only valid on commuter trips).

  • Question 4: Can the customer plan his trip?

Answer 4: Yes, the customer can plan his trip by using S’hail App.
