All individual customers who own properties or their representatives are eligible to apply for this service.

  1. Affection plan specifying the location of the building or house (for projects in areas regulated by Dubai Municipality)
  2. Completion certificate for the house
  3. Passport or Emirates ID (if the UAE Pass is not used to log in)

Through the Website

  1. The customer logs in to the RTA website through username and password, or UAE pass.
  2. The customer clicks on House and Building Numbering from the dashboard.
  3. The customer fills in the required details (Information about the Applicant, Owner, and Housing Units Number).
  4. The customer uploads the required documents and marks the desired location.
  5. The customer verifies the application details and clicks Confirm to submit the request for approval.
  6. The customer checks the status of recently submitted applications through the AMS dashboard and resolves any comments or submits additional information.
  7. RTA instals the physical plate as per the assigned number based on the addressing system within 15 working days.
  8. The customer receives a notification of the completion of his request through SMS, once the relevant department has closed the application.

Through Dubai Now app

  1. The customer logs in through UAE pass.
  2. The customer selects the service from the dashboard.
  3. The customer selects myself or someone else and fills in the required details (owner and location details).
  4. The customer uploads the necessary documents, if required.
  5. The customer submits the application and receives the reference number.
  6. The customer checks the status of recently submitted applications through the reference number and resolves any comments or submits additional information.
  7. RTA instals the physical plate as per the assigned number based on the addressing system within 15 working days.
  8. The customer receives a notification of the completion of his request through SMS, once the relevant department has closed the application.

Terms and conditions
  • This service is currently available for properties that don't have a formal address and for which the Completion Certificate was issued before 2024.
  • If the house is newly built, a request will automatically be submitted on behalf of the customer once the Completion Certificate is issued. No further action is required.
  • The service can't be requested if the selected area doesn't have formal addresses or if the property isn't yet fully completed.
  • The application must be submitted by the customer or his legal representative.
  • The customer can view or cancel the request before the issuance of the permit through the dashboard, using the application reference number.
  • If additional details are requested from RTA, the customer goes to the dashboard and enters the reference number, then clicks on Transaction Log to add requirements.
FAQs
  • Question 1: What are the procedures if a building is completed without being assigned a number?

Answer 1: If a number is not assigned within 30 days of the building completion in areas with formal addresses, the customer must either submit an individual application or contact the call centre to find out why the number was not assigned automatically.

  • Question 2: Can the customer submit an application to modify or repair the house number through the system?

Answer 2: No application is required. The customer can file a complaint through the call centre.
