Issuing Personal Gold/Silver NOL Card

This service enables you to apply for the personal silver or gold NOL card to use transportation means.

Eligibility

All individuals are eligible to apply for this service.

Required documents

  1. A two-sided-copy of the original Emirates ID
  2. A personal photograph with a white background (when applying online for the service, the photograph should be in jpg or jpeg format and its size should not be less than 50 KB)
  3. Copy of the ID issued by the Ministry of Social Affairs for people with disabilities or copy of the Sanad card issued by the Community Development Authority
  4. Signed and sealed letter from the educational institution stating that the customer is pursuing his studies
  5. Letter from the Ministry of Social Affairs for people who receives the social security benefits

Silver/Gold personal NOL card.

Service fees

  • 70 AED for the personal silver card; it includes an e-wallet value of 20 AED
  • 80 AED for the personal gold card; it includes an e-wallet value of 20 AED
  • Free of charge for people with permanent disabilities and for the elderly who have Sanad cards and for people who receives the social security benefits
  • Students who meet the required conditions benefit from a 50% discount when using the metro, bus and Dubai Tram.

Ways to apply

Process

Through online channels:

  • The customer fills in the form of the service (type of the card, category, personal information, ID information, contact information and address)
  • The customer uploads the scanned required documents
  • The customer is required to settle the fees by credit card or debit card
  • The customer receives an SMS including the number of the card and delivery courier number of the courier company (Zajel) and the PIN code that enables the customer to update the card's file through the website or the mobile application.

Through Zoom shops in metro stations:

  • The customer heads to Zoom shop at the metro station
  • The customer presents the ID to the employee
  • The customer is required to pay the fees in cash
  • The customer receives the card.

Through ticket offices at metro, bus and tram stations:

  • The customer heads to the ticket office at the station
  • The customer fills in the application form
  • The customer presents the required documents
  • The customer is required to pay the fees in cash
  • The customer receives the card.

Terms and conditions

  • Student card: The student’s age must be between 5 and 24 years
  • Senior card: The customer’s age must be 60 years and above
  • The customer must have the PIN code of the card for personal and registered cards
  • In case of any delay in receiving the card, the customer can contact the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) call centre on the following number 8009090. The customer can also follow up the process through the website or the mobile application
  • In case of applying for this service online, the attachments must be in jpg or jpeg format and their size must be less than 2 MB
  • Only adults are eligible to apply for this service through Zoom shops.

FAQs

  • Question 1: Can the customer use the blue NOL card of another person?

Answer 1: No, the blue NOL card must be used by the card owner.

  • Question 2: If the customer disables the card after losing it, can he enable it again if he finds it?

Answer 2: After 48 hours from disabling the card, the customer can no longer enable it. The customer must apply for a new card and for refunding the old card.

  • Question 3: How can the customer cancel a lost card?

Answer 3: The customer can cancel the card through the website. The customer must provide the card number and its PIN code that he received by SMS when receiving the approval.

  • Question 4: What happens after the customer requests disabling a personal silver or gold card?

Answer 4: The card will be added to the blacklist and will be cancelled upon the customer's request.
