Apply for a Vehicle Clearance Certificate

This service enables you to apply for a clearance certificate indicating that the vehicle does not have any restrictions (mortgage) or traffic fines when issuing this certificate.

Eligibility
Individuals, citizens and residents, and companies are eligible to apply for this service.
Required documents

Vehicles owned by individuals

  1. Original Emirates ID
  2. Vehicle ownership certificate.

Vehicles owned by companies

  1. Official letter in Arabic from the company
  2. Copy of the trade license
  3. Endorsement of signature and Authorization letter
  4. Vehicle ownership certificate.
Service fees
  • 100 AED clearance certificate
  • + 20 AED Innovation and Knowledge fee.

  • Service centres and service providers: 10 minutes.
Process

Through website and mobile application

  • The customer logs in using the username and password and proceeds to the service
  • The customer is required to settle the fees by credit card
  • The customer receives the certificate from the Customer Happiness Centre in Deira or Al Barsha or through the email or through a courier company for a charge of 25 AED. The courier company makes 3 attempts to deliver the certificate before sending it back to the centre where the customer collects it.

Through kiosks

  • The customer chooses online services
  • The customer proceeds to the desired service and enters the vehicle's information
  • The customer is required to settle the fees
  • The customer receives the certificate from the printer of the kiosk.

Through service centres

  • The customer submits the required documents at the service centre
  • The customer is required to settle the fees in person and receive the receipt
  • The customer receives the certificate.

Through call centre

  • The customer contacts the call centre on the following number: 8009090
  • The customer provides the call centre with the vehicle's plate number
  • The customer is required to settle the fees by credit card
  • The customer receives the certificate from the Customer Happiness Centre in Deira or Al Barsha or through the email or through a courier company for a charge of 25 AED. The courier company makes 3 attempts to deliver the certificate before sending it back to the centre where the customer collects it.
