Receipt Of New Taxi Plates

This service enables you to submit the taxi plate numbers that are reserved under your name and that you were unable to submit to the Licensing Agency for various reasons in order to get the monthly return and the yearly bonus.

Eligibility

Taxi plate owner and heirs are eligible to apply for this service Plate number should be a taxi plate number.

Required documents

  • Certified request form to submit the taxi plate numbers presented by the owner of the number, or the heirs or their representative

Taxi plate numbers owner:

  1. Certificate of saving the taxi plate number
  2. Copy of the passport of the plate number owner
  3. Copy of the family book of the owner
  4. Copy of the Emirates ID of the plate number owner
  5. Bank account number (statement from the bank showing the International Bank Account Number IBAN)

Heirs of plate numbers owner:

  1. Determination of successors certificate
  2. Copy of the passport and the Emirates ID of the heirs
  3. Bank account number (statement from the bank showing the International Bank Account Number IBAN)
  4. Death certificate in case of the death of the owner

Representative of heirs:

  1. Authorisation from the heirs in case of the death of the owner
  2. Waiver certificate from the heirs in the absence of power of attorney
  3. Copy of the passport and the Emirates ID of the representative
  4. Bank account number (statement from the bank showing the International Bank Account Number IBAN)

Output

  • Ownership certificate of the taxi plate numbers that were given after presenting an ownership request
  • After one month from receiving the plate numbers, the owner or the heirs/representative receives a monthly financial return determined by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) worth 1,000 AED for each plate number.

Ways to apply

Process

Through email:

  • The customer sends the scanned documents via email to the following address: Franchise.Services@rta.ae
  • If the file is complete, the customer receives the certificate via email
  • If the file is incomplete, RTA sends an email to the customer.

Offline:

  • The customer submits the documents at the service centre
  • If the file is complete, the customer collects the new taxi plate certificate from the service centre.

Terms and conditions

  • The owner cannot retrieve the returned plate numbers
  • The owner of the plate number is entitled to submit more than one taxi plate number
  • The new plate number must not be among others that were submitted before.
