Steps

  1. Go to the service application page.
  2. Fill in the vessel details and click Next .
  3. Select the dates and enter the company details.
  4. Upload the documents and click Review .
  5. In case of approval, receive the status of the request and payment details through email within 2 working days.
  6. Pay the fees at any Self Service Machine.
  7. Receive the payment confirmation and receipt through email and SMS.
  8. Send the payment details to the Marine Transport Department through email at external.boatlifting@rta.ae .
  9. Receive the Marine Transport Department work order to berth the vessel on the booked date and time.

Important to Know

You Should Know

  1. Governmental and semi-governmental companies receive a 20% discount.
  2. The vessel must have a maximum length of 20m, a maximum width of 5m, and a maximum weight of 16 tonnes.
  3. The service includes water and power supply and firefighting water line.
  4. The service is limited to docking, undocking, or lifting only. For maintenance, you must hire a company specialised in maintenance activities; Al Garhoud Marine isn't responsible for maintenance activities.
  5. You must pay the service fees in advance at any Customer Happiness Centre. The required documents can be sent via email to the relevant department or submitted directly at Al Garhoud Marine Facility.
  6. RTA only provides the wooden support and doesn't supply awnings for boats. You can bring your own awning if you wish.
  7. You can obtain more space around the boat for a fee.
  8. Service fees are calculated separately for docking and undocking.

  1. Copy of the insurance
  2. Certificate of Registry or Certificate of Licence
  3. Vessel General Arrangement (GA) drawings
  4. Vessel berthing plan drawings

  • Dry berth: AED 30 per metre per day
  • Water consumption: AED 0.1 per gallon
  • Power supply (220V/32amp): AED 50 per day
  • Firefighting water line: AED 125 per day

Terms and Conditions

  • RTA reserves the right to shift vessels according to yard operations convenience.
  • The security guard or crew must be present on behalf of the vessel owner to protect its property.
  • RTA Al Garhoud Marine Facility isn't responsible for any damages such as boat sinking, fire, natural disasters, etc., or any unsafe work located in Al Garhoud yard or in the wharfage.
  • You or the contractor are responsible for any damage that occurs to the vessel, and not RTA Marinas.
  • If you violate any of RTA rules and regulations, you'll be fined as per RTA guidelines and tariffs.
  • The maintenance company must obtain approval to provide its services, ensuring it meets the standards required to operate at Al Garhoud Marine Facility.
  • Certain maintenance work requires approval. If the service provider company causes damage to the site, a fine will be issued.

    • A : No, RTA only provides wood holders, but you can bring shades for your boats.
