You Should Know

1. You can only pay fines at Customer Happiness Centre counters in case you're applying for another service such as renewing, registering, or changing the possession of a vehicle.
2. You can dispute fines you think you wrongfully received free of charge, through  RTA Website , after providing the following documents:
   • Fine number
   • Dubai Maritime Authority Permit
   • Letter with the bank account number (if the fine is paid)
   • Payment receipt (if the fine is paid)
3. To submit a dispute application, follow the steps below:
   • Go to the  Dispute Fines page.
   • Enter the information.
   • Upload the documents.
   • Receive the dispute application reference number and then its status (approved/rejected) through SMS within 30 working days from the date of receipt of the appeal. This duration can be extended if required.
   • If your application is approved, the fine is cancelled in the system and you receive the refund amount in your bank account within 5 days.
   • If your application is rejected and the fine isn't yet paid, receive the fine details, and payment modes and channels through email and SMS.

2. Abra number
3. Driver permit number

• Knowledge and Innovation fee: AED 20 (per fine)
