RTA accreditation is a necessary step to enable Driving Institutes to start the licensing and registration procedures to provide different types of driving training, and to enable providers of medical exam services for Driving Licences and driver permits to upload eye test results and renew Driving Licences.

Steps
- Log in using your username and password or UAE Pass.
- Submit your application.
- Upload the required documents (Dubai Municipality site plan/map).
- Enter the location.
- Wait for the preliminary approval for the driving institute licence from the relevant RTA committees.
- If rejected, submit a new application through the portal.
- If approved, a site inspection will be scheduled and the details will be sent to you by email. You can track your application through the dashboard at anytime.
- After the site inspection, you'll receive the result and a link to complete the procedure through email.
- Upload the remaining documents (Detailed Layout of the institute facilities, training, and testing areas and an NOC for the Traffic Impact Study from the Traffic Department).
- Receive approval or rejection.
- If approved, you'll receive by email the Approval Letter to start the licensing procedure and a link to complete the procedure with the Department of Economy and Tourism.
- Upload the Building Completion Certificate and the bank guarantee (AED 300,000).
- Ensure the readiness of the licensed vehicles, training and testing tracks, assigned staff, and the system integration with RTA, telecom, water, and electricity companies.
- Sign the contract electronically using your UAE Pass to set up your account.
- RTA signs the contract.
- You can download the final copy of the contract, signed by all parties, from your dashboard.

Important to Know
You Should Know
- The facility manager must be of good conduct and hasn’t been convicted of a criminal offence, a crime involving dishonour or a breach of public trust, unless he’s been rehabilitated.
- The total land area on which the institute and its different facilities are located must be at least 300,000 square feet.
- The institute site mustn't be located within sectors or areas unauthorised by RTA.
- A 5-year driving learning activity agreement is signed with the institute.

You Should Do
- Obtain the approvals of all relevant parties involved in the activity in Dubai, if applicable.
- Comply with the standards set out in the Dubai Universal Design Code for People of Determination.
- Train instructors, lecturers, and driving assessors, and ensure that Knowledge Test invigilators and customer service employees obtain the necessary permits to perform their duties in accordance with the regulations approved by RTA.
- Link the service centres at the facility and branch to RTA's approved smart monitoring systems.
- Provide training and testing systems requirements (Yard Test system, Smart Track system, Knowledge Test system).
- Provide training requirements for instructors and lecturers, including tablets, uniforms, and safety equipment according to the training category.
- Equip training and testing vehicles in accordance with the approved technical specifications and standards established by RTA for conducting the activity.
- Link the facility's system to the licensing systems associated with the activity, such as the traffic system, driver training system, and driver licensing system, upon completion of the construction works.
